2026 ACHA D1 National Tournament Bracket
The Calvin ACHA D1 hockey team is headed back to national tournament play. The Knights received a bid to the upcoming ACHA Division I National Tournament March 12-17 in the suburbs of Saint. Louis, Missouri. The tournament field was announced Tuesday night by the ACHA. Calvin is one of 24 teams in the ACHA Division I Tournament field.
The 2026 ACHA National Championships presented by FloHockey will be played at the Centene Community Ice Center in Maryland Heights, Missouri. The Centene Community Ice Center, which opened in September 2019, is the practice facility for the NHL St. Louis Blues as well as the home of Lindenwood University's hockey programs.Â
Calvin is the No. 11 seed for the tournament and will play a first round tournament game on March 12 against No. 22 University of Rhode Island at 1:30 p.m. The winner of the Calvin-Rhode Island game will play in the Round of 16 on Saturday, March 14 at 1:30 p.m. against Drury University.
Calvin is making its sixth tournament appearance in the last seven years. A year ago, Calvin was the No. 11 seed in the 24-team tournament and advanced to the second round.
Calvin will be facing a Rhode Island team that is currently 25-8-2 and is a member of the ECHA conference.
"We don't take the opportunity compete in the National Tournament for granted," said Calvin head coachÂ
Josh Petrusma. "Making it there six times in the past seven years is a huge accomplishment and something we're very proud of. As for our 1
st round matchup, Rhode Island will certainly present a challenge for us. They are a strong team and they know how to win tight games, which is always a factor in the tournament."
Calvin is currently 20-8-2 on the season, having hit the 20-win plateau for the fourth consecutive year as an ACHA Division I program.
