Calvin University senior Sophie Bull was named MIAA Women's Track Athlete of the Week for indoor track and field on Monday.
 
Bull (Denver, Colo./Denver Christian) won the honor following a strong performance at Grand Valley State University on Friday, January 23.
 
At the GVSU meet, Bull topped a field of 62 runners, including 11 NCAA I and 16 NCAA II competitors, in the 3000 meters with a time of 8:47.5 that ranks first in the MIAA and eighth in NCAA III this season.
 
This marks the fifth time Bull has taken home MIAA Track Athlete of the Week honors during her career.
 
Calvin track and field will return to action on Friday, January 30, when it competes at Aquinas College.
