The Calvin University men's golf team was picked to finish third in the MIAA Preseason Poll released by the conference on Friday.
Calvin finished the preseason poll with 16 total points, including one first-place vote. Trine University was picked atop the poll with 12 total points and four first-place votes, followed by Hope College with 13 points and three first-place votes.
The Knights, under the direction of head coach
Brian Bolt, return three All-MIAA performers from last season's team that finished third in the final MIAA standings at the end of the six MIAA events. The Knights posted an average team score of 298.3 strokes in those events.
Seniors
Jack Marzolino (Byron Center, Mich./Byron Center) and
Matt Turcotte (Grandville, Mich./Calvin Christian) each earned All-MIAA First Team accolades at the end of the 2024-25 season, while junior
Ethan Tiller (Kalamazoo, Mich./Portage Central) was All-MIAA Second Team as a sophomore last season.
Calvin opens the 2025-26 season at Aurora University on Tuesday, September 2.
