The Calvin University women's lacrosse team earned both individual and team academic honors from the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) on Wednesday.
Morgan Bethard (DeWitt, Mich./DeWitt),
Julia Ellsworth (DeWitt, Mich./DeWitt) and
Molly Williams (Grand Haven, Mich./Grand Haven) each earned IWLCA Academic Honor Roll honors, while the Calvin women's lacrosse team received an Academic Honor Squad recognition.
To be eligible for Academic Honor Roll status, a student-athlete must be a junior, senior or graduate student with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 or higher.
To earn Academic Honor Squad honors, a team must finish the 2023-24 school year with a team GPA of 3.2 or higher.
This marks the first Academic Honor Roll award from the IWLCA for Bethard, Ellsworth and Williams. Earlier this summer, Bethard and Williams also earned Academic All-District honors from the College Sports Communicators (CSC).
The Calvin women's lacrosse team finished the 2025 season with a 12-5 record overall and went 5-2 in MIAA play, which was good for third place in the final conference standings.
