The Calvin University women's volleyball team received the Team Academic Award from the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) on Monday.
 
The award, sponsored by INTENT, honors collegiate and high school volleyball teams that maintain a team cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.3 or higher throughout the school year.

The Calvin women's volleyball team produced an overall team GPA of 3.486 over the course of the 2024-25 academic year. 
 
Calvin women's volleyball has now earned this AVCA honor 16 consecutive years under head coach Dr. Amber Warners. Calvin is one of more than 1,400 teams nationwide at the high school and collegiate level to receive the award.
 
The Knights finished the 2024 women's volleyball season with a 19-9 record.
 
The 2025 Calvin University volleyball season will open against Dubuque on Friday, August 28, at a tournament hosted by Central College in Pella, Iowa.
