Three Calvin Men’s Lacrosse Players Named CSC Academic All-District

Three members of the Calvin University men's lacrosse team were named Academic All-District by the College Sports Communicators (CSC) on Tuesday.
 
Braden Carpenter, Josh Gage and Nate Hanson each earned the honor.
 
To receive the honor, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore in eligibility and maintain a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 or higher. Lacrosse players must compete in at least 90 percent of their team's contests or start 66 percent of their games during the season.
 
The Calvin men's lacrosse team finished the 2025 season with a 6-10 record overall and went 3-3 in MIAA play, good for fourth place in the final MIAA standings.  
 
Braden Carpenter
 
Carpenter (Noblesville, Ind./Noblesville) earned CSC Academic All-District honors for the second straight season after leading Calvin in points (51) while finishing second in goals scored (51) on the way to earning All-MIAA Second Team honors. His 51 points this season tied for the fifth-most in program history in a single season.
 
A junior kinesiology major with a 3.93 GPA, Carpenter is a two-time MIAA Academic Honor Roll and six-time Calvin Dean's List member.
 
Josh Gage
 
Gage (Livonia, Mich./Detroit Catholic Central) was named CSC Academic All-District for the third straight season after recording 30 caused turnovers and 43 ground balls. For his career, Gage ranks third in program history with 122 career caused turnovers, eighth with 157 career ground balls, and is the program's all-time leader with 65 games started.
 
A senior civil and environmental engineering major with a 3.79 GPA, Gage is a three-time MIAA Academic Honor Roll honoree and an eight-time member of the Calvin Dean's List.
 
Nate Hanson
 
Hanson (Naperville, Ill./Naperville North) was named CSC Academic All-District for the second straight season for his work in the faceoff X for the Knights. An All-MIAA Second Team honoree, Hanson went 228-379 in the X this season and also chipped in four goals to go with 108 ground balls. For his career, Hanson is the program's all-time leader with 628 faceoff wins and ranks fifth with 261 ground balls.
 
A junior finance major with a 3.92 GPA, Hanson is a two-time MIAA Academic Honor Roll and six-time Calvin Dean's List honoree.
