DECATUR, Ill. - Today the Calvin men's golf team competed in the Take Back the Night competition hosted by Millikin University.
The two-day event kicked off this afternoon at South Side Country Club where Calvin finished round one in seventh place with a team score of 296. Illinois Wesleyan claimed the top spot in the standings with a score of 274 while UW-Eau Claire (280) and Mississippi-Women (287) rounded out the top three.
Junior
Matt Turcotte (Grandville, Mich./Calvin Christian) was the top finisher for the Knights as he posted a score of 69, three below par and enough to tie for third place in the individual standings. Fifth year senior
Jackson Glanzer (Stevensville, Mich./Berrien Springs) was the next highest finisher for Calvin as he shot one above par at 73.
Sophomore
Ethan Tiller (Kalamazoo, Mich./Portage Central) finished his showing with a score of 75 while fellow sophomore
Greg Braun (Northville, Mich./Northville) rounded out the scoring for Calvin when he posted a 79.
Junior
Jack Marzolino (Byron Center, Mich./Byron Center) also competed in the field as an individual and finished his round with a score of 79.
UP NEXT: The Knights will be back in action tomorrow when they compete in day two of the Take Back the Night competition. The team is set to tee off at 8 AM (CT).
