Hannah Sall was named MIAA Women's Basketball Player of the Week on Monday.
Sall (Grand Rapids, Mich./Grand Rapids Christian) won the honor after a strong week in helping Calvin win the MIAA Women's Basketball Tournament.
In three games, Sall averaged 14.0 points, 4.7 rebounds and 3.3 blocks per game, with her best performance coming in Friday's 66-62 win in the semifinal over 19th-ranked Hope College in which she finished with 20 points and eight blocks to help the Knights snap a 20-game losing streak to the Flying Dutch.
In Saturday's tournament championship game against number-11 Trine University, Sall scored 14 points and added five rebounds and two blocks.
The win pushed the Knights to their first MIAA Tournament championship since 2015 and punched their ticket to the NCAA III Tournament.
Calvin women's basketball will return to action on Friday, March 7, when it opens the NCAA III Tournament with its first round matchup at UW-Oshkosh.
