Calvin's
Valerie Dirkse (Vienna, Va./Marshall),
Sophie Sensenig (Grayslake, Ill./Westlake Christian),
Hannah Sall (Grand Rapids, Mich./Grand Rapids Christian), and
Katelyn LaRue (Grand Rapids, Mich./Grand Rapids Christian) have been named to the College Sports Communications Division III Academic All-District Women's Basketball Team.

To earn a spot on the CSC Academic All-District Team, individuals must have maintained a cumulative 3.50 grade point average, appeared in over 90 percent of the team's games during the current season or started a minimum of 67 percent of the games. In addition, freshmen are not eligible for nomination.

Dirkse, a senior forward, is receiving CSC Academic All-District honors for the third consecutive year. The nursing major has a 4.0 GPA and has been a three-time member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll and a seven-time member of the Calvin Dean's list.

On the court, Dirkse started all 29 of Calvin's games during the 2024-2025 season where she led the team and the MIAA in rebounding with 8.8 per game and recorded 53 blocks on defense.Â

Fellow senior Sensenig is receiving CSC Academic All-District Honors for the first time in her career and was named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll four times. The elementary and special education major had a GPA of 3.5 and appeared in all 29 games this season for the Knights where she averaged 15.4 minutes of playing time and notched 18 blocks.

Sophomore forward Sall, receives CSC Academic All-District Honors in her first year of eligibility after being named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll for the second time in her career. The kinesiology major has a 3.8 GPA and started every game this season for Calvin as she averaged 22.3 minutes of playing time and 8.4 points per game. Sall also finished the season with 75 blocks which led the MIAA and placed her in the top 10 nationally for Division III.

LaRue, a psychology and writing major, also received CSC Academic Honors in her first year of eligibility while also being a MIAA Academic Honor Roll and Calvin Dean's List member with a GPA of 3.8. LaRue started all 29 games this season and was second on the team in playing time with 27.8 minutes per game. She posted an impressive .415 shooting percentage this season while averaging 11.4 points per game.

The Knights had a breakout season under head coach
Mark Christner as they took down No. 19 Hope and No. 11 Trine to win the MIAA Tournament title. The team advanced the NCAA III Tournament before falling to Wisconsin-Oshkosh and finishing the season with a 18-11 record.Â
