RESULTS
GREENSBORO, NC – Calvin used a pair of All-America swims including one national runner-up berth to move into seventh place in the team standings at the NCAA III Championships.
Through two days of competition, the Knights are in seventh place with a team score of 88 points.
Senior
David Bajwa (Bethesda, Md./The Heights School) led the charge with a national runner-up swim in the 100 butterfly. Bajwa powered his way to a second place finish in a personal best time of 46.54 after cruising with a time of 46.61 in the morning prelims. It marked the first All-America swim for Calvin in the race and also marked the second straight year Calvin has placed second in the race as
Julien Camy was the 100 butterfly national runner-up in 2024. Calvin has now had three national runners-up in the 100 fly as Peter Boumgarden was the first Calvin swimmer to achieve the feat back in 2002.
Bajwa then led off Calvin's 200 freestyle relay team in the championship finals Thursday night, helping the Knights to a third place swim in a time of 1:19.36. Bajwa, senior

Josh Seidelman (Northville, Mich./Northville HS) and junior
Charles Platt (Downers Grove, Il./Downers Grove North HS) swam in the evening final. Senior
Corey Campbell (Grand Rapids, Mich./Grand Rapids Christian HS) swam in place of Molin in the morning prelims with the Knights posting the fourth-best time out of the prelim heats. All five individuals receive All-America recognition.
It marks the fourth straight year Calvin has posted a top-eight All-America swim in the 200 freestyle relay with the Knights placing sixth in 2022, second in 2023 and seventh in 2024.
Also competing for Calvin on Thursday in the prelims was senior
Logan Campbell (Yorkville, Il./Yorkville HS) in the 100 butterfly as he placed 29
th (48.87).
"We had a big night with some excellent swims," said Calvin head swim coach
Dan Gelderloos. "David came up with another personal best and continues to compete at a high level. Our 200 free relay also continued its growing tradition of swimming in the championship finals and finishing strong. It was great to see. We are performing well."

Timothy Hays (Arlington Heights, Il./Prospect HS) in the 200 butterfly, Hays and junior
Caleb Gemmen (Mentor, Oh./Home School) in the 100 breaststroke and Platt, Bajwa, Seidelman and senior
Jack Kulaga (Downers Grove, Il./Downers Grove South HS) in the 800 freestyle relay.
Action begins with morning prelims at 10 a.m. and evening finals at 6 p.m.
