2024-25 D3hoops.com All-Region 7 Team

Calvin junior Anna Fernandez has been selected to the D3hoops.com All-Region 7 Third Team. Region 7 includes schools in the states of Ohio, Michigan, Indiana as well some schools from the state of Pennsylvania.
A native of Plymouth, Michigan, Fernandez recently concluded a standout junior campaign that saw her average 14.3 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.7 steals-per-game. A graduate of Plymouth Christian Academy, Fernandez was named to the All-MIAA First Team after finishing in the MIAA's top 10 in scoring average, field goal percentage and steals.

She started in all 29 of Calvin's games and reached double figures in scoring in 24 of the 29 contests including a career-high 24-point effort in a 60-51 win over Mount Union on November 23. She also provided strong play in the post-season. She averaged 16.0 points a game in three MIAA Tournament games including 17 in a 70-57 victory over Trine in the MIAA Tournament Championship game March 1, giving Calvin its first league tournament title since 2015.

Fernandez also helped Calvin reach the NCAA III Tournament for the first time since 2017 and scored 12 points with five rebounds and three assists in a first round NCAA III Tournament defeat at UW-Oshkosh – a team that is currently in the NCAA III Women's Basketball Final Four.

Fernandez helped the Calvin women's basketball team finish 18-11 overall.
