GRANDVILLE, Ohio - Today the Calvin dive team had two athletes compete in the NCAA Diving Regionals hosted by Denison University.
 
Appearing in her first regional competition, Veronica Skipper (Chicago, Ill./Northside College Prep) had a nice showing as she placed 18th on the women's one-meter board with a score of 359.70. In eleven dives during the evening, she averaged a score of 32.70 per round and 5.32 per event.
 
On the men's side, after placing 14th on the three-meter board last year, senior Wil Goodpaster (Hamilton, Mich./Hamilton) improved to 10th place after averaging 37.30 per round and 5.32 per event. He finished the competition with a total score of 410.30. 
 
Both athletes will be back in action tomorrow as Goodpaster will compete off the one-meter board and Skipper will continue to the three-meter board. Competition is set to begin at 12PM.
