Ryan Halberg was named MIAA Men's Swimmer of the Week on Monday.
Halberg (Novi, Mich./Northville) won the honor after a terrific weekend at the Calvin Quad Meet at Venema Aquatic Center.
At the two-day meet that took place over three sessions, Halberg won 500 Freestyle, 400 IM and 1650 Freestyle with times that currently rank atop the MIAA and in the top five nationally in NCAA III.
Halberg won the 500 Freestyle in 4:38.4 to rank second nationally, the 400 IM in 4:09.9 and the 1650 Freesyle in 16:24.3. He also led off the Calvin 800 Freestyle Relay that took first place with a time of 1:42.
Calvin swimming and diving will return to action on Saturday, November 8, when it competes at Wheaton College (Ill.) in a dual meet that is scheduled to start at 1:00 (CT).
