Liz Williams became the 12th player in Calvin University women's soccer program history to score at least 100 career points in Wednesday night's 4-1 win over Kalamazoo College.
Williams (Grand Rapids, Mich./Grand Rapids Christian) had a big night in Calvin's win, scoring two goals and assisting on another to reach the career milestone while also helping the Knights clinch at least a share of the MIAA regular season championship.
Over the course of a career that has now spanned into her sixth season, Williams has earned four All-MIAA honors, including All-MIAA First Team in 2021 (spring), 2023 and 2024. She has scored 32 goals and assisted on 36, including two goals and five assists this season to help the Knights to an 11-4-0 record overall and 7-0-0 mark in league play. Her 36 career assists are the fifth-most in program history.
Along with scoring, Williams has been a major contributor in the midfield for the Knights during a streak of six consecutive MIAA regular season championships and four MIAA Tournament championships since the start of the spring season in 2021.
"It's exciting to see Liz reach this career milestone!" Calvin head women's soccer coach
Emily Ottenhoff said. "She's played a significant role in our program's growth and success during her time here, and we're so thankful we had the chance to share one more season with her this year."
The Calvin women's soccer team will return to action on Tuesday, October 28, when it hosts Adrian College in the regular season finale at Calvin Soccer Stadium at 7:00 PM.
