KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Calvin finished one shot out of the team lead at MIAA Jamboree #2 on Saturday, firing a team score of 293, one stroke behind rival Hope which took first place team honors.
Saturday's competition was held at the historic Kalamazoo Country Club. Â Calvin freshman
Dylan Clark (Grand Rapids, Mich./Grand Rapids Christian HS) made his own history by claiming medalist honors for the first time in his collegiate career, firing an even-par round of 71.
Senior
Jackson Glanzer (Stevensville, Mich./Berrien Springs HS) was part of a tie for second place individually, shooting one-over par 72.
Junior
Matt Turcotte (Grandville, Mich./Calvin Christian HS) was next in the team scoring for the Knights with a four-over par round of 75 that put him in 12
th place individually.
Junior Jack Marzalino (Byron Center, Mich./Byron Center HS) was also lodged in a multiple tie for 12
th place with a round of 75.
Rounding out Calvin's team finishers was sophomore
Greg Braun (Northville, Mich./Northville HS) with a round of 84.
Sophomore
Ethan Tiller (Kalamazoo, Mich./Portage Central HS) competed individually and had a stellar day, firing a one-over par round of 72 although his score did not factor into the team standings.
With its second place finish on Saturday, Calvin moved up from fourth and into third place in the overall team standings. Hope takes over the league lead, seven strokes ahead of second place Trine with Calvin currently nine strokes behind of the Thunder in third.

Dylan Clark had a great day with a the low round of today's tournament and that helped us hang in there. We will have to clean up the loose shots in future rounds to climb up the leaderboard in the MIAA."
NEXT UP: Calvin will compete at MIAA Jamboree #3 next Monday. The competition will be hosted by Hope at the Wuskowhan Player's Club in West Olive, Michigan.
