Day 2 Results
HOLLAND, Mich. - The Calvin University men's golf team continued the MIAA AQ Tournament with the second round at Wuskowhan Players Club on Friday.
Calvin tied Hope for third on the day with a team score of 309 total strokes. That score brings the Knights to a two-day total of 616 strokes, good for fourth place at the tournament.
Jack Marzolino (Byron Center, Mich./Byron Center) carded a round of 74 on Friday, good for third place among the 21 players on the day.
Matt Turcotte (Grandville, Mich./Calvin Christian) followed Marzolino in seventh place with a round of 76, while
Tim Braun (Northville, Mich./Northville) shot 78.
Gannon McDonough (Pentwater, Mich./Pentwater) recorded the only eagle on the day, but finished with a round of 81.
Luke Weesies (Grandville, Mich./Calvin Christian) shot 82.
Adrian finished with the lowest team score on Friday with 304, but still ranks second at the tournament with a two-day total of 607. Hope leads the tournament through two rounds with a total of 599 strokes, while Trine is in third with 613.
NEXT UP: Calvin men's golf will return to action tomorrow (Saturday, April 22) for the third and final round of the MIAA AQ Tournament at Wuskowhan PC. The first players are scheduled to tee off at 11:00 AM.
