The Calvin-Hope women's basketball rivalry is set to renew Wednesday night at DeVos Fieldhouse in Holland, Michigan. Tip-off is 7:30 p.m. with first place in the MIAA standings on the line.Â
Both teams head into Wednesday's showdown with 10-2 conference records with Calvin 18-3 overall and Hope 19-2 on the season. Calvin and Hope are currently tied with Trine (10-2) for the MIAA lead heading into the final stretch of the league season.Â
Hope took the first meeting between the two teams 62-56 back on November 30 at Calvin's Van Noord Arena.Â
Calvin will bring a 10-game win streak into Wednesday's contest. The Knights are currently ranked 17th by D3hoops.com and 21st by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association. Hope is ranked sixth by the WBCA and seventh by D3hoops.com.Â
Wednesday's game will include a live video stream broadcast called by West Michigan radio sportscaster Bret Bakita and former Michigan State men's basketball standout Drew Neitzel. Bakita and Neitzel are calling the broadcasts of all four Calvin-Hope basketball games this year (two men's games, two women's games).Â
