GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Calvin women's tennis team picked up a 5-4 exhibition match victory over Aquinas Saturday afternoon inside the Huizenga Tennis and Track Center.
Calvin picked up default points at No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles as the visiting Saints fielded a roster of only five players.
Aquinas did take two of the three doubles points but the Knights took four singles points including key wins by senior 
Alexis Ganop and freshman 
Tessa Holman to help seal the win.
Trailing 2-1 after doubles play, Calvin picked up a default point at No. 6 singles to knot the score and took a 3-2 lead after a 6-3, 6-2 win at No. 5 singles by sophomore 
Marissa Baker (Holland, Mich./Holland Christian HS). Aquinas picked up wins at No. 1 and No. 3 singles to take a 4-3 lead but Ganop (Riverview, Mich./Riverview Community HS) won 6-4, 6-2 at No. 4 singles  and Holman (Washington, Mich./Romeon HS) finished up with a 6-4 6-4 win at No. 2 singles to cement the win.
