ALLENDALE, Mich. – The Calvin men's indoor track and field team wrapped up a record-setting weekend with yet another record on Saturday at the GVSU Big Meet.
Calvin's distance medley relay team of sophomore
Nicholas Henz (Oswego, Il./Oswego East HS), junior
Corbin DeBoer (Hudsonville, Mich./Unity Christian HS), senior
Lucas VanderPloeg (Hudsonville, Mich./Unity Christian HS) and sophomore
Thaine Nederveld (Columbus, Oh./Columbus Alternative School) established a new school record with a time of 10:03.14.
The time breaks the previous Calvin record of 10:08.26 and puts the Knights 18
th on the NCAA III performance list.
The relay includes an opening 1200 meter leg, a 400 meter leg, an 800-meter leg and a 1600 meter closing leg.
On Friday, Nederveld had reset his own school record in the 3000 meters while
Brandan Knepper had set a new school mark in the 5000 meters.
COACHES COMMENT: "Another day, another school record! The team of Nick Henz,

Lucas VanderPloeg, and
Thaine Nederveld broke the previous school record in the Men's DMR by 5 seconds with a finishing time of 10:03.14 and are currently ranked #18 in the country," said Calvin head track and field coach Adam Haldorson. "Overall, a great weekend for the whole squad!"
