ALLENDALE, Mich. – The Calvin men's indoor track and field team wrapped up a record-setting weekend with yet another record on Saturday at the GVSU Big Meet.

Calvin's distance medley relay team of sophomore Nicholas Henz (Oswego, Il./Oswego East HS), junior Corbin DeBoer (Hudsonville, Mich./Unity Christian HS), senior Lucas VanderPloeg (Hudsonville, Mich./Unity Christian HS) and sophomore Thaine Nederveld (Columbus, Oh./Columbus Alternative School) established a new school record with a time of 10:03.14.

The time breaks the previous Calvin record of 10:08.26 and puts the Knights 18th on the NCAA III performance list.

The relay includes an opening 1200 meter leg, a 400 meter leg, an 800-meter leg and a 1600 meter closing leg.

On Friday, Nederveld had reset his own school record in the 3000 meters while Brandan Knepper had set a new school mark in the 5000 meters.
