COACHES COMMENT: "It was another great day for Calvin Track and Field," said Calvin head track and field coach Adam Haldorson. "33 of 44 athletes competing for Calvin hit lifetime PRs!
Thaine Nederveld and
Brandan Knepper both dipped under the previous 3000m record with Thaine just edging Brandan with the time of 8:20.99 to win the meet; this also ranks both athletes inside the top 10 nationally. Nick Henz in the mile moved up to #2 on the Calvin All-time top 10 list to #2 and is currently ranked #23 nationally. Additional to these great national caliber marks we have 22 marks inside the MIAA top 5.The team built on the momentum of last week's phenomenal season openers and took it to an even higher level today; and we're just getting started! We're very proud of the hard work these student-athletes have been putting and we're even more excited to see what comes next!"
NEXT UP: Calvin will now prepare for meets next weekend at Aurora University and Hillsdale College.
