Final Results
BATTLE CREEK, Mich. - The Calvin men's golf team jumped three spots on the second and final day of the Lou Collins Memorial Tournament hosted by Olivet at Bedford Valley Country Club on Saturday.
Calvin entered the day in ninth place following an opening round score of 311 on Friday, but improved to sixth place (out of 15 schools) after shooting a team score of 307 strokes on Saturday for a two-day total of 618.
Jack Marzolino (Byron Center, Mich./Byron Center) backed up his opening round of 73 with a 77 on Saturday to finish tied for 12th with a total score of 150.
The next three Knights to finish at the tournament improved on their opening round scores, led by
Tim Braun (Northville, Mich./Northville), who shot 75 Saturday after an opening round 78 to finish in a tie for 19th place with a total of 153.
Gannon McDonough (Pentwater, Mich.Pentwater) improved four strokes with a round of 76 to total 156 strokes, while
Matt Turcotte (Grandville, Mich./Calvin Christian) shot 79 on day two after a Friday round of 80.
Jackson Glanzer (Stevensville, Mich./Berrien Springs) matched his opening round of 82 on Saturday to finish with a total of 164 strokes.
Trine won the event with a two-day total of 586, followed by Adrian (592) and Siena Heights (605) in the top three.

Brian Bolt said. "We still have a ways to go, but we are trusting in the process until we get things dialed in."
NEXT UP: Calvin men's golf will play next in the Carthage College Firebird Classic at Randal Oaks Country Club. Round one of that two-day tournament is Friday, September 9, starting at 12:30 p.m.
