Calvin Women's Track And Field Program Receives USTFCCCA Academic Honors

2022 USTFCCCA Academic Honors Announcement

The Calvin women's outdoor track and field team has once again received the All-Academic Team Award from the United States Track and Field Cross Country Coaches Association. 

The Calvin women's team has received the honor 21 straight years. The Knights posted a team grade point average of 3.593 this past year. 

In order to receive the award, a team needed to have posted a minimum 3.10 grade point average or better. 

In addition, six members of the Calvin women's track and field team have received USTFCCCA All-Academic honors. 

To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Track and Field Team, individuals must have finished the outdoor season among the top 50 individuals as listed on the descending order lists on TFRRS. In addition, any athletes not among the top 50, but who were accepted into the Outdoor National Championship, are eligible. 

Relay athletes must have competed as a member of one of the top 35 relay teams as listed on the indoor descending order list on TFRRS. In addition, any athletes not among the top 35 relay teams, but who were accepted in the relay at the Outdoor National Championship (alternates are excluded), are eligible. Finally, any competing relay team member on an expanded descending order list to include 35 institutions (1 relay team per institution) is eligible.

The eight members of the Calvin women's track and field team to be so honored were seniors Kamryn Elgersma (Redlands, Ca./Arrowhead Christian Academy/Kinesiology/Pre-Physical Therapy), Sadie Heeringa (Grand Rapids, Mich./Grand Rapids Christian HS/Chemistry), Renee Miller (Marlette, Mich./Marlette HS/Interdisciplinary Studies), sophomores Jenna Allman (Ann Arbor, Mich./Saline HS/Social Work/Psychology) and Delaney Sall (Grand Rapids, Mich./Grand Rapids Christian HS/Environmental Studies/Sociology/Spanish) and freshman Cora Moore (Phoenix, Az./North Phoenix Prep/Social Work).
