2022 USTFCCCA All-Academic List
The Calvin men's outdoor track and field team has once again received the All-Academic Team Award from the United States Track and Field Cross Country Coaches Association.
The Calvin men's team has received the honor 14 straight years. The men's team recorded a team grade point average of 3.471 this past year.
In order to receive the award, a team needed to have posted a minimum 3.10 grade point average or better.
In addition, eight members of the Calvin men's track and field team have received USTFCCCA All-Academic honors.
To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Track and Field Team, individuals must have finished the outdoor season among the top 50 individuals as listed on the descending order lists on TFRRS. In addition, any athletes not among the top 50, but who were accepted into the Outdoor National Championship, are eligible.
Relay athletes must have competed as a member of one of the top 35 relay teams as listed on the indoor descending order list on TFRRS. In addition, any athletes not among the top 35 relay teams, but who were accepted in the relay at the Outdoor National Championship (alternates are excluded), are eligible. Finally, any competing relay team member on an expanded descending order list to include 35 institutions (1 relay team per institution) is eligible.
The eight members of the Calvin men's track and field team to be so honored were seniors Ryan Vreeke (Lakewood, Ca./Valley Christian HS/Financial Planning), Matthew Vos (Holland, Mich./Holland Christian HS/Biochemistry/Graphic Design) and Micah Meindertsma (Caledonia, Mich./Caledonia HS/Biology); juniors Brandan Knepper (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Mechanicsburg Area HS) and Lucas VanderPloeg (Hudsonville, Mich./Unity Christian HS/Psychology), sophomore Corbin DeBoer (Hudsonville, Mich./Unity Christian HS/Accounting) and freshman Nicholas Henz (Oswego, Il./Oswego East HS/Civil Engineering).
