The Calvin women's outdoor track and field team has landed four individuals on the United States Track and Field Cross Country Coaches Association Division III Great Lakes All-Region team.
Named to the all-region team from Calvin are seniors Sadie Heeringa and Kamryn Elgersma and sophomores Jenna Allman and Delaney Sall.
SADIE HEERINGA (Grand Rapids, Mich./Grand Rapids Christian HS)
Heeringa is receiving all-region honors in the 1500 meters and 5,000 meters where she had third-best time in the region in each race. In the 1500 meters, she had a time of 4:30.53 while posting a time of 16:39.23 in the 5,000 meters. She was an NCAA III All-American in both events. She is receiving all-region honors for track and field for the second time this year as she did so for indoor track and field this winter in the mile run, 3,000 meters and distance medley relay.
JENNA ALLMAN (Ann Arbor, Mich./Saline HS)
Allman is receiving all-region honors in the 3,000 meter steeplechase where she posted a time of 10:52.03 which ranked third in the region. She was also a USTFCCCA All-Region honoree for indoor track and field this winter in the distance medley relay.
KAMRYN ELGERSMA (Redlands, Ca./Arrowhead Christian Academy)
Elgersma is receiving all-region honors in the javelin where she had the top throw in the Great Lakes Region this spring with a toss of 142-7. She was an NCAA III All-American in the javelin this past month.
DELANEY SALL (Grand Rapids, Mich./Grand Rapids Christian HS)
Sall is receiving all-region honors in the 800 meters where she had the top time in the Great Lakes Region in 2:08.23. She was an NCAA III All-American in the event this past month. She was also a USTFCCCA All-Region honoree for indoor track and field this winter in both the 800 meters and distance medley relay.
