Calvin crowned two event champions on Friday with sophomore Jenna Allman (Ann Arbor, Mich./Saline HS) winning the 3,000 meter steeplechase and sophomore Delaney Sall (Grand Rapids, Mich./Grand Rapids Christian HS) winning the 800 meter run.
Allman led a 1-3 Calvin finish in the steeplechase, winning the race in a career-best time of 10:55.71 which currently ranks ninth in Division III women's track and field this spring. Senior Brynne Winiarski (Naperville, Il./Neuqua Valley HS) took third in a career-best time of 11:52.37.
In the 800 meters, Sall won in thrilling fashion, coming from behind to edge Trine All-American Evie Miller for the win in a time of 2:13.62 with Miller second in 2:13.78.
