The Calvin women's outdoor track and field team sent a handful of competitors to the North Central Carius/Gregory Invitational on Thursday night.

Competing in her hometown, senior Brynne Winiarski (Naperville, Il./Neuqua Valley HS) clocked a career-best time of 11:47.79 that was good for third place in the 3,000 meter steeplechase.

Freshman Catherine Kortman (Grandville, Mich./Calvin Christian HS) took 11^th in the 5,000 meter run with a time of 19:22.91.

Action continues Friday at North Central College at the two-day competition.
