Box Score NAPERVILLE, Il. - The Calvin women's lacrosse team picked up its third win of the season by cruising past North Central (IL) 18-5 on the road Saturday afternoon.
Calvin led 8-3 going into halftime and outscored North Central 10-2 in the third and fourth quarter to win 18-5.
Senior Megan Gilbert (Lansing, MI / Holt HS) had a big afternoon with eight goals while also collecting eight ground balls and 11 draw controls.
Senior Breanna Otte (Grand Rapids, MI / Grand Rapids Christian) had a nice game as well with four goals, one assist, five draw controls and nine ground balls.
Junior Mekaelah McClymont (Camp Hill, PA / Covenant Christian Academy) scored three goals, two assists and collected 5 ground balls.
Junior Lainey Aldridge (Grosse Pointe Woods, MI / Grosse Pointe North) had two goals and sophomore Kelly Ruha (Plymouth, MN / Robbinsville Armstrong) ended with a goal as well.
Junior Jessica Camp (O'Fallon, Il. /O'Fallon Township HS) had four saves in goal for the Knights.
COACHES COMMENTS: "I'm proud of the way we played today. The whole team came out ready to play and willing to work hard for each other," said head coach Blake Boehm. "Our offensive production energized the defense. We were tenacious in transition, and it paid off. Looking forward to another good week of practice."
