Box Score GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Calvin women's lacrosse team picked up its second conference win by cruising past Kalamazoo 19-4 at home on Wednesday evening.
The Knights led 12-2 going into halftime with 7 goals in the second quarter and outscored Kalamazoo 7-2 in the third and fourth quarter to win 19-4.
Senior Megan Gilbert (Lansing, MI / Holt) led the Knights in scoring with seven goals while also collecting six ground balls and eight draw controls.
Sophomore Kelly Ruha (Plymouth, MN / Robbinsville Armstrong) ended the day with five goals and two ground balls.
Meghan Chang (Clarksburg, MD / Clarksburg), Mekaelah McClymont (Camp Hill, PA / Covenant Christian Academh), Breanna Otte (Grand Rapids, MI / Grand Rapids Christian) each scored two goals in the win for the Knights.
Junior Jessica Camp (O'Fallon, IL / O'Fallon Township HS) had nine saves in goal for Calvin and collected eight grounds balls.
The Knights improve to 5-6 overall on the season and 2-1 in the MIAA.
