Grand Rapids, MI – The Calvin University men's basketball will host conference opponent Alma on Wednesday evening with tip-off scheduled for 8:00 p.m.
The Teams: Calvin and Alma. The Knights enter the game with a 15-6 overall record and have an 8-2 MIAA mark. Calvin recently took down Kalamazoo on the road with a score of 95-84. The Scots enter Wednesday's matchup with an 2-16 overall record and have a 1-8 MIAA mark. They recently fell to Trine with a final score of 62-56.
The Coaches: Bill Sall is in his 3rd season as head coach of the Calvin men's basketball program. Ryan Clark is in his 3rd season as the head coach of the Alma men's basketball program. Clark became the head coach of the Alma College men's basketball program in April of 2019. He has been a fixture in the Scots' athletic department since 2012 and has had success leading both the men's and women's basketball programs at Alma.
The Players: The Knights have three players averaging double digits in scoring. Luke Morrison is averaging 18.5 points per game while teammate Thad Shymankski is averaging 13.3. Uchenna Egekeze is also averaging 11.6 points per game for the Knights.
