Calvin University senior men's basketball player
Jalen Overway was named D3hoops.com Region VII Co-Player of the Year as well as First Team All-Region on Monday.

Overway (Holland, Mich./Holland Christian) won the honor after a stellar senior campaign in which he averaged 23.1 points, 10.7 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.0 blocks per game while shooting 61.7 percent from the field.

In his return to the court after missing the 2024-25 season due to injury, Overway was a D3hoops.com Preseason All-American and earned his third MIAA Most Valuable Player honor.

A 2023-24 D3hoops.com First Team All-American, this marks the third straight season (not including 2024-25) in which Overway has earned First Team All-Region from D3hoops.com and the second time he has been named Player of the Year in the region. Following his 2022-23 freshman season, Overway was named D3hoops.com Rookie of the Year.

Along with his MIAA and D3hoops.com accolades, Overway was also a 2023-24 NABC All-American and District Player of the Year.

Overway ranks seventh in Calvin men's basketball program history in career points (1,717) and fifth in career rebounds (868). He also ranks 10th in both career assists (216) and career blocks (88).

Calvin men's basketball finished the 2025-26 season with a 19-8 record overall and went 10-4 in MIAA play, good for third place in the final conference standings.
