Grand Rapids, MI – The Calvin University men's basketball will host conference opponent Trine on Saturday afternoon. Tip-off is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. at Van Noord Arena.
The Teams: Calvin and Trine. The Knights enter the game with a 9-6 overall record and have a 2-2 MIAA mark. Calvin recently won a conference match-up against Adrian with a score of 81-61. The Thunder enter the game with a 10-6 overall record and a 3-2 MIAA mark. Trine recently lost a conference matchup against Alma with a final score of 57-55.
The Coaches: Bill Sall is in his 3rd season as head coach of the Calvin men's basketball program. Brooks Miller is in his 11th season as they head coach of the Trine men's basketball program. Brooks Miller just completed his tenth season as the Head Coach of the Trine University Men's Basketball program and has 21 combined years of collegiate basketball playing and coaching experience. Miller has compiled an overall record of 167-105 at Trine including a 96-52 record versus MIAA opponents.
The Players: The Knights have three players averaging double digits in scoring. Luke Morrison is averaging 17.6 points per game while teammate Thad Shymankski is averaging 13.5.
