The Calvin men's cross country reserve team took fifth at the Wayne State Invitational on Friday evening.
The Knights posted a team score of 151 points. Michigan Tech took first place with 42 points.
Sophomore Benjamin Kinnucan (Lowell, Mich./Lowell HS) led the Knights with a 24th place time of 26:46 on the 8K course. Freshman Ryan Sarkett (Pittsburgh, Pa./Upper St. Clair) was 52nd in 27:00.
Junior Clenon Fincher (Elmhurst,Il./Timothy Christian HS) was was 84th in 27:20 while freshman Caleb Schillinger (North Liberty, Ia./Liberty HS) was 117th in 27:24.
Sophomore Carter Vande Vegte (Sioux Center, Ia./Sioux Center HS) was 186th in 27:48. Sophomore Jacob Buit (Hudsonville, Mich./Unity Christian HS) was 222nd in 27:49 to round out Calvin's top seven.
