Grand Rapids, MI – The Calvin University women's basketball will travel to Adrian College on Tuesday evening. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. The game will mark the MIAA opener for both teams.
The Teams: Calvin and Adrian. The Knights enter in with an overall record of 1-3 and recently defeated Olivet with a score 79-54. The Bulldogs enter with an overall record of 3-8 and recently suffered a loss to Alma with a score of 73-55.
The Coaches: Mark Christner is in his 2nd season as head coach of the Calvin women's basketball program. He finished with a record of 17-10 and made it to the MIAA Semifinals last year. Kathy Morris is in her 29th season as the head coach of the Adrian women's basketball Program. Morris is the all-time victories leader in program history with 300 wins and is the longest-tenured women's basketball coach in school history.
The Players: The Knights have one player averaging double digits for the Knights with Leah Harris averaging 11.7 points per game. The Bulldogs have one player averaging double digits with Chelsea Palmer averaging 14.0 points and 9.6 rebounds.
