Grand Rapids, MI – The Calvin University men's basketball team travels to Adrian College for a conference matchup. Tip-off is scheduled for 3 p.m.
The Teams: Calvin and Adrian. The Knights enter the game with a 10-7 overall record and are 4-2 in conference play Calvin most recently won a game against Kalamazoo College by a score of 90-75 Saturday at Van Noord Arena. The Bulldogs enter the game with an 8-9 overall record and are 2-4 in conference play. The Bulldogs recently beat Olivet College by a score of 96-83 this past Saturday at Adrian's Merillat Center.
The Coaches: Bill Sall is in his 1st season as head coach of the Calvin men's basketball program. Nick Giard is in his 4st season as head coach of the Adrian men's basketball program. In the 2017-2018, the Bulldogs finished with a 17-9 overall record and 8-6 in the MIAA which was third in the standings and landed them a spot in the post season MIAA tournament.
The Players: The Knights have three players averaging double digits in scoring. Derrick DeVries is averaging 24.9 points per game while teammate Thad Shymankski is averaging 16.7. Alex Bos is now averaging 11.6 points per game while also averaging 8.4 rebounds a game.
The Bulldogs have two players averaging double digits in scoring; Jordan Harris (22.3), Jeremy Kalonji (21.2)

Recent History: Calvin is 108-32 against Adrian all-time. Calvin won both meetings last year in the regular season, winning 78-55 in Grand Rapids and then winning 79-53 at Adrian.
