Calvin opened its 2018 indoor season with a non-conference dual meet scrimmage against Albion on Thursday inside the Huizenga Tennis and Track Center.
Albion won the dual meet 47-25.
Senior
Jenna Dyksen (Hawthorne, NJ/Hawthorne HS) won the 60 meter hurdles in a time of 9.41 that currently ranks as the second-fastest time in the Great Lakes Region in Division III this winter.
In the 60 meter dash, sophomore
Jackie Amissah-Nunoo (Accra, Ghana/Akosombo International School) was fourth (8.45). Freshman
Madison Brink (Holland, Mich./Holland Christian HS) was fifth (47.31) in the 300 meter dash.
Junior
Erin Van Lenten (Hawthorne, NJ/Eastern Christian HS) won the high jump (4-9). Senior
Kayla Van Lenten (Hawthorne, NJ/Eastern Christian HS) won the pole vault (9-6 1/4) while freshman
Brooke Van Lenten (Hawthorne, NJ/Eastern Christian HS) was second (8-11 3/4).
In the shot put, sophomore
Allison Rozell (Grand Rapids, Mich./Forest Hills Northern HS) was second (29-3 3/4) while
Erin Van Lenten was third (25-3).
