GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Calvin women's tennis team fell to 2-2 on the year with a loss to Davenport on Thursday afternoon. The Panthers defeated the Knights, 9-0.
"I was happy with how we played today," said head coach Kevin Van Haitsma. "We competed well on every court and really raised our level of play. Davenport has some good players and was a great battle to get us ready for spring break, next week."
The day started with the Panthers taking all three doubles matches.
Davenport would continue its winning ways, winning on all six singles courts.
Sophomore Jessica Bouma gave Davenport a fight at No. 3 singles, falling in a tiebreaker in the first set and the match, 7-6 (2), 6-3.
