AURORA, Ill. – The Calvin University men's golf team opened its 2026 fall season with a 13th-place finish at the Aurora Double Gun tournament at Aurora Country Club on Tuesday.
The tournament was two rounds in one day for the 19 teams in attendance, with the Knights finishing in 13th place following scores of 316 and 312 for a two-round tally of 628.
Ford Erickson (Grand Rapids, Mich./Grand Rapids Christian) was the low scorer on the day for Calvin playing as a wild card individual entrant, shooting an opening round 75 and following that with a 74 to tie for 13th place individually after carding three birdies in both rounds.
Reuben Kok (Redlands, Calif./Arrowhead Christian Academy) shot a tournament-total of 156 (78/78) to tie for 40th place, while
Josiah McClelland (Vicksburg, Mich./Vicksburg) and
Ethan Tiller (Kalamazoo, Mich./Portage Central) each shot 157 with matching rounds of 80 and 77.
Ian Tuin (Kalamazoo, Mich./Kalamazoo Christian) shot 78 and 80 for a total of 158, while
Dylan Clark (Grand Rapids, Mich./Grand Rapids Christian) shot 82 in both rounds for a total of 164.
Aurora University's 'A' team won the event with a score of 575, followed by the Aurora 'B' team (594) and UW-Stout (597) in the top three.
NEXT UP: Calvin men's golf will return to action on Friday, September 11, when it opens the two-day Irish Hills Invite hosted by Adrian College at Tecumseh Golf Club.
