Calvin University junior Ford Erickson was named MIAA Athlete of the Week for men's golf on Monday.

Erickson (Grand Rapids, Mich./Grand Rapids Christian) won the honor for his performance at the Cornerstone Fall Invitational October 12 at Thousand Oaks Country Club.

At the one-day event, Erickson took first-place medalist honors with a 3-under par round of 69 that topped all competitors by five strokes.

Erickson's low score helped propel the Knights to also win the team competition with a total score of 302 strokes.

Calvin men's golf will close the fall portion of its schedule on Monday, October 26, when it competes in the final MIAA Jamboree event held at Gull Lake Country Club.
