NAPERVILLE, IL. - Today the Calvin women's soccer team was defeated by the Cardinals of North Central 4-0 in a non-conference matchup. After tonight the Knights moved to an overall record of 2-1.

North Central scored its first goal thirty minutes into the match streaking midfielder sent the ball into the six-yard box where a Cardinal attack executed a nifty back heel flick to give them the 1-0 lead.

The Cardinals extended their lead in the forty-eighth minute thanks to a penalty kick before scoring shortly after in the fifty-fifth minute. North Central put a cap on its night with a final goal seven minutes later and rolled on to the 4-0 victory.

Calvin finished the game with ten shots compared to North Central's nineteen while graduate student defender
Lucy Iverson (Naperville, Ill./Naperville North) and freshman defender
Ava Steen (Hudsonville, Mich./Unity Christian) accounted for the Knights only two shots on target during the match.

Aubree Lee (Lowell, Mich./Lowell) finished the game with six saves.
