Sydney Radigan was named MIAA Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week for women's track and field on Monday.
Â
Radigan (Beaverton, Ore./St. Stephen's Academy) won the honor for her performance in helping the Calvin women's track and field team win the MIAA Outdoor Women's Track & Field Championship last week at Hope College.
Â
In the event, Radigan recorded three first-place finishes and three MIAA records. She won the 100 meter dash in a time of 11.64 seconds, the 200 meter dash in a time of 23.68 seconds, and anchored the Calvin 4x100 meter relay to a 47.0 seconds finish that also broke the Calvin outdoor record and marked the 16th-fastest relay time in NCAA III.
Â
Radigan is already the Calvin outdoor record holder in the 100 meters (11.4) and 200 meters (23.5) with times sets at Grand Valley State two weekends ago. Both times still rank atop NCAA III this outdoor season.
Â
This marks the third time this year Radigan has been named MIAA Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week, including the second consecutive week.
