Calvin graduate student
Sydney Radigan has been named the Division III Women's Most Outstanding Track Performer of the recently completed 2026 NCAA III Outdoor Track and Field Championships by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
Each year, the USTFCCCA honors the Outstanding Performers of the Championships at both the NCAA DIII Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field Championships. Winners are determined using a formula that adds together team points scored, plus meet records (five additional points), Division III seasonal bests (three additional points) and facility records (one point). Relay points, if applicable, are split equally among the four team members.
Radigan, the Most Outstanding Women's Track Performer of the Championships, totaled points using the above formula.
Radigan (Portland, Ore./St. Stephen's Academy) picked up 31.5 points with her finishes on the track as she captured the national title in the 100 meter dash (10 points) and 200 meter dash (10 points) and picked up a half-point with Calvin's seventh place 4x100 relay finish. She set an NCAA III meet record in the finals of the 200 meters in a time of 23.43 (5 points) and had season-best times in winning the 100 meter dash (3) and 200 meter dash (3 points).
Her finishes on Saturday were instrumental in Calvin placing fourth as a team at the NCAA III Outdoor Track and Field Championships last weekend, marking its first Top-four national team finish in outdoor track and field since 2007.
It marks the second NCAA III Athlete of the Meet award for Radigan as she also received the honor for the NCAA III Indoor Track and Field Championships this past March.
