Calvin University junior Drew Garrison has ben named to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Team of the Week for the second time this season for men's lacrosse.
 
Garrison (Worthington, Ohio/Worthington Kilbourne) won the honor after a strong week of performances on defense as the Knights defeated Trine 8-7 and Alma 23-2. 
 
Garrison recorded six ground balls and six caused turnovers in five quarters of action over the two Calvin wins. In the win over Trine on Wednesday, he had five ground balls and four caused turnovers, leading to meaningful possessions late in the game to help seal the 8-7 victory. Then, on Saturday, he only played the first quarter and had one ground ball and two caused turnovers in a blowout win over Alma.
 
Garrison previously received the award back on February 18 from the USILA. 
 
Calvin men's lacrosse is off to its best start in program history as the Knights are 9-2 overall and 2-0 in league play. Calvin returns to action Wednesday night when it travels to Albion for a key 7 p.m. conference match.
