Calvin University junior Noah Etynre was named MIAA Pitcher of the Week for Baseball on Monday.
 
Etnyre (Northville, Mich./Plymouth Christian) earned the honor for his performance last week at the RussMatt Invitational during the Knights' 10-day Florida spring break trip.
 
In his lone start of the week on Thursday, March 12, Etnyre threw a two-hit shutout in seven innings against Clarkson University. Etnyre struck out six batters and allowed only three baserunners while leading the Knights to a 2-0 win.
 
Etnyre made two starts on the Florida trip on the mound, allowing only one earned run (two total) in five innings on Saturday, March 7, against Wartburg College.
 
The Knights played 16 games on the 10-day trip and finished with a 9-7 overall record.
 
Calvin baseball will return to action on Friday, March 20, when it starts a three-game series at North Central College at 4:00 PM (CT).
