Calvin University senior Mia DeJonge was named MIAA Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week on Monday.
 
DeJonge (Renton, Wash./Bellevue Christian) won the honor following a record-breaking performance at the Mrs. G Invitational hosted by Trine University on Friday, February 6.
 
At the event, DeJonge matched a Calvin school record in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 8.94, tying a mark previously set by Jenna Dyksen during the 2018 season.
 
DeJonge's time is the top mark in the MIAA this season and ranks 23rd in NCAA III this indoor season.
 
Calvin track and field will return to action this weekend when it participates in meets at Grand Valley State University (February 13-14) and Aquinas College (February 13).
