Today the Calvin women's softball team has been picked to finish third in the MIAA preseason coaches' poll. The Knights received 47 votes while Trine topped the poll with 64 votes and eight first place votes. Adrian finished in second with 49 votes while Hope tied for third with 47 votes and 1 first place vote.

The Knights finished last season with an overall record of 22-18 while going 9-7 in conference play. Calvin will be returning several key players including First-Team All MIAA Pitcher
Brooke Hunderman (Grand Rapids, Mich./Calvin Christian). During her junior campaign last season Hunderman finished with a record of 12-10 with 127 strikeouts and an ERA of 2.04.Â

Tory Decker (Hudsonville, Mich./Unity Christian), senior
Carly Dole (Mt. Pleasant, Mich./Mt. Pleasant) and junior
Aubrey Herder (Kalamazoo, Mich./Kalamazoo Christian) will also be returning to the Calvin roster this season.

Becky Hilgert will be entering her tenth season and has an overall win-loss record of 230-102.

The Knights are scheduled to open their 2026 season on Saturday, March 7th when they kick off their spring break trip against Swarthmore College at 12:30 PM.
