Calvin University sophomore Carter Detweiler was named MIAA Men's Swimmer of the Week on Monday.
 
Detweiler (Farmington Hills, Mich./Council Rock North/Ohio Northern University) earned the honor for his performance in the Knights' dual meet against NCAA II Wayne State University on Friday afternoon at Venema Aquatic Center.
 
At the dual meet, Detweiler earned a first-place finish in the 200 Freestyle with a time of 1:43.2. The time was his best ever in a dual meet.
 
He also swam third in the 100 Freestyle in a time of 47.3, which was also the best dual meet time for Detweiler.
 
Calvin swimming and diving will return to action on Saturday, January 17, when it competes in a dual meet at University of Chicago at 1:00 PM (CT).
