MARSHALL, Mich. – The Calvin University women's golf team finished the two-day Kyle Campbell Memorial Tournament at The Medalist GC in fourth place on Saturday.
Calvin entered the day in third place after an opening round score of 334 and improved three strokes on Saturday with a score of 331 for a two-day tally of 665.
Andrea Diemer (Wyoming, Mich./Calvin Christian) and
Kayla Adkins (Springfield, Ill./Springfield) both tied for sixth place (out of 96 total golfers) at the event with two-day totals of 160. Diemer shot 79 on Saturday after an opening-round 81, while Adkins matched her first-day score of 80 on day two.
Brooke Haney (Rochester Hills, Mich./Rochester) also matched her Friday score with an 84 to tie for 16th place with a 168 for the tournament.
Gina Sonday (Portland, Mich./Portland) was the fourth Calvin golfer and shot 88 on Saturday for a tournament total of 177 in a tie for 40th place.
Ava McConnon (Grand Rapids, Mich./Northpointe Christian) shaved three strokes off her Friday score with an 88 on Saturday to tie for 44th place individually.
Elizabeth Van Dusseldorp (Holland, Mich./Holland Christian) dropped 18 strokes off her first-day score to shoot 88 on Saturday and move into a tie for 73rd place on the leaderboard.
Kalamazoo College won the event with a final team score of 638 over the two days. Saint Mary's College (Ind.) took second with 659, followed by Hope College in third place with 663.
