Aerin Baker was named MIAA Volleyball Player of the Week on Monday.

Beker (Saugatuck, Mich./Saugatuck) earned the honor after helping the Knights to a 3-0 weekend at the Alma College Invite tournament with 3-0 wins over Anderson University (Ind.), Concordia University Chicago and Capital University.

Over the three matches, Baker averaged 4.56 kills per set with a .423 attack efficiency, including a 15-kill effort in the Knights' sweep of Capital on Saturday. Baker also averaged 1.89 digs and 0.44 blocks per set.

This season, Baker leads Calvin with an average of 3.86 kills per set, which ranks second in the MIAA. She also surpassed 900 career kills over the weekend and now has 930 for her career.
This marks the fifth time Baker has been named MIAA Volleyball Player of the Week in her career and the second time this season.

The 12-2 Calvin women's volleyball team will open MIAA play with a match at Hope College on Tuesday, September 30, at 6:30 PM.
