Calvin University junior Hailey Erickson was named MIAA Runner of the Week for women's cross country on Tuesday.
 
Erickson (Arlington Heights, Ill./Prospect) earned the honor after her first-place finish at the Comet Open in the Knights' first event of the 2025 season.
 
Erickson took first at the 5k event in a time of 18:29.8, leading off a Calvin line-up that finished with a perfect team score of 15 points thanks to taking home each of the top five (and seven of the top eight) places.
 
This marks the second time Erickson has earned MIAA Runner of the Week honors in her career. She previously won the award during her freshman season in 2023.
 
Calvin cross country will return to action on Saturday, September 13, when it hosts the Diemer Classic at Gainey Athletic Complex starting at 9:30 AM.
