ADA, Mich. – The Calvin women's golf team opened its 2025 campaign Friday morning by hosting day one of the Calvin/Hope Challenge at the Thornapple Pointe Golf Club. Calvin and Hope both featured "A" and "B" teams along with a number of golfers competing individually.
Through day one, Hope's A Team has an early lead with 329 strokes with Calvin's A' Team in second with 334. Hope's B' Team is in third at 341 with Calvin's B' Team fourth at 384.
Competing on the Calvin "A" Team, sophomore
Brooke Haney (Rochester Hills, Mich./Rochester HS) led all scorers on Friday with a first place score of 75. Freshman
Ava McConnon (Grand Rapids, Mich./Northpointe Christian HS) and senior
Andrea Diemer (Wyoming, Mich./Calvin Christian HS) tied for sixth on Friday with rounds of 85. Senior
Gina Sonday (Portland, Mich./Portland HS) was the No. 4 scorer in Calvin's "A" Team and posted a round of 89 that tied her for 12
th. Senior
Kayla Adkins (Springfield, Il./Springfield HS) came through with a round of 90 to complete Calvin's "A" Team squad.
The Calvin "B" Team was led by freshman
Elizabeth Van Dusseldorp (Holland, Mich./Holland Christian HS) with an 89. Junior
Ava Endelman (Las Vegas, Nev.Faith Lutheran) had a 93 and freshman
Elizabeth Lubowicki (Ludington, Mich./Ludington HS) a 97. Freshman
Bibian Kim (Holland, Mich./Culver Academies) and sophomore
Samantha Davidson (Costa Mesa, Calif. Pacifica Christian - Orange County) both had rounds of 105 to close out the Calvin "B" Team scoring,

Isabella Rutherford (Indianapolis, Ind./Heritage Christian) had a 94, freshman
Chloe Kwon (Los Angeles, Calif./South Pasadena) had a 117, freshman
Kiera Bishop (Grand Rapids, Mich./Grand Rapids Christian HS) had a 103 and freshman
Preslie Riggs (Genesee, Mich./Genesee HS) had a 91.
The two-day tournament continues Saturday with Hope hosting at the Clearbrook Golf Club in Saugatuck. Tee times are scheduled for 2 p.m.
